Mail Workshop 3 Peaks Challenge July 17/18 2010

‘Do not regret growing older – it is a privilege denied to many’

This is a quote that reminds us that life is short! Every day we get up and live our lives – each day is a new challenge and full of new opportunity. All children need the chance to be children; to have dreams, ambitions & be carefree.

Not everyone shares this privilege; for some children they don’t live long enough to experience the dream. This is where Rainbows help.

Rainbows have made such a difference to so many children; one child is Amber Sissian. She is the niece of Mark Hurdis, our Sales Manager at Mail Workshop, & as such makes this a cause close to our hearts. Amber suffers from Hallervorden-Spatz – a rare, inherited neurological movement disorder for which there is no cure. Mark and his son Max (aged 6) have done many fund raising events previously for Amber, but this time they have combined forces with Mail Workshop to help raise money for this amazing charity.

Mail Workshop has proposed to embark on their greatest challenge as a company, to raise money for this charity; to take on the Three Peaks Challenge. The challenge requires us to climb the three highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours. It will prove to be a gruelling challenge.

Up for a chalenge!

Up for a Challenge: Louise, Ant, Mark R, Webbo, Roxanne, James, Lewis, Mark H and Max!

Help us to raise money to support this and give the children a chance to live – a chance to be a child. Our aim, of climbing these three peaks, and showing dedication to the cause is something we are all proud to put our names against. The rest of the team, who are not doing the three peaks will be taking part in the Snowdon leg of the climb – Mark & Max included.
